It has consistently delivered the perfect sound for a variety of music genres, including blues, country, fusion, punk, hard rock, grunge, and thrash. The JB is known for its powerful low end, crisp and detailed highs, and an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch to heavy chords and a vocal-like quality to single notes and solos. Its hot output pushes the amp for more sustain and harmonics, making it a versatile choice for guitarists. It can be paired with a 500k volume pot for high-end cut, or a 250k pot for a smoother tone. The JB Model is hand-built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory using an Alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, and 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options like series, parallel, and split coil. It is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. For nearly four decades, the JB Model has been the ultimate hot-rodded humbucker, and it pairs well with the Jazz or ’59 neck pickups. Some players even use a JB in the neck position for an extra-fat solo tone. This bundle includes a Dunlop variety pack of 12 picks for electric guitar, Dunlop Formula 65 Cleaner, and Dunlop polishing cloth. It truly is a modern classic.
