The Black Winter is designed to meet the needs of extreme metal guitarists, offering a tone that delivers crushing distortion, punishing mids, and aggressive saturation. Its design provides the right balance of midst, treble, and bass, allowing for smooth transitions from annihilating riffs to solos with cutting articulation. The neck and bridge pickups are carefully calibrated for a balanced assault, delivering excessive grime and aggression reminiscent of the winters in Scandinavia.

Hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Black Winter is available in standard 6-string size, as well as 7 & 8 string passive mount with naked coils or in Active 'Soap bar' Mount with exposed pole pieces. It comes with a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free operation.

Featuring a DC resistance of 13K k for the neck pickup and 16.60K k for the bridge pickup, the Black Winter also offers a resonant peak of 6.35kHz for the neck and 6.68kHz for the bridge. Its EQ is set at 6 / 6 / 6 (Treb / Mid / Bass), and it is equipped with a ceramic bar magnet.
