The Black Winter is a guitar pickup designed to meet the needs of extreme metal guitarists, providing a tone that offers crushing distortion, punishing midst, and aggressive saturation with string sensitivity. It is as dark and vicious as the winters in Scandinavia, with just the right balance of midst, treble, and bass to take you from annihilating riffs to cutting solos. The neck and bridge pickups are calibrated for a balanced assault, and it is hand built in Santa Barbara, CA. The Black Winter is available in standard 6-string size, as well as 7 & 8 string passive mount with naked coils or in Active 'Soap bar' Mount with exposed pole pieces. It comes with 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free operation. These high output humbucking pickups are designed for hard playing styles and are available in black.
