Vintage Blues Humbucker Pickup Set with MXR Patch Cables and Dunlop Polishing Kit

The 59 Model humbuckers feature vintage style coils that give them an airy quality, firmly placing them in the P.A.F. family. However, to compensate for lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers than those used in the 50s, we have added an alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting to the design. This results in a pickup with old-school tonal character, a brighter top end, and a more compressed sound, making it ideal for all types of rock and blues.

In addition to the alnico 5 magnet and wax potting, we hand build the 59 Model with a variety of traditional vintage treatments, such as 42AWG plain enamel mag wire, long legged nickel silver bottom plate, vintage single-conductor braided push-back lead wire, and no logo. All of our P.A.F. style pickups, including the 59 Model, are wound on Seymour’s old Leesona winder from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.

The humbucker set, consisting of our 59 Model neck and bridge pickups, delivers warm, full, P.A.F. style tone to any dual humbucker instrument. The vintage style coils combined with the alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting result in a pickup that is great for all types of rock and blues music.

To enhance the overall experience of using the 59 Model humbuckers, our bundle includes 4 MXR premium patch cables, as well as Dunlop Formula 65 cleaner and a Dunlop polishing cloth.
