Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Humbucker Pickup - Black Neck

The Pearly Gates neck pickup captures the essence of Billy Gibbons' 1959 Les Paul's original neck pickup. It is a P.A.F. pickup with a unique tonal character, offering more midrange than the typical humbuckers of that era. This results in a neck pickup that stands out with its stronger tailored mids, while still delivering the open and airy treble attack of the alnico 2 bar magnet. With a warm, spongy low end, this pickup is perfect for both rhythm and lead playing. Pair it with the Pearly Gates bridge model for a classic setup, or combine it with a higher output bridge pickup like the Custom Custom for a more aggressive rock setup. Hand-built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Pearly Gates model humbucker features an alnico 2 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Like all of our P.A.F. style humbuckers, each Pearly Gates is wound on Seymour's original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to achieve that unmistakable vintage mojo. This moderate-output neck-position humbucker is available in black.
